Privacy Policy

Last updated: May 21, 2026

Effective Date: May 19, 2026

1. Introduction

PrintReadyTool.com ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website at PrintReadyTool.com (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information You Provide

When you create an account or use the Service, we may collect:

  • Account information — your name and email address, obtained from Google when you sign in with Google OAuth.
  • Document content — the text, preferences, and inputs you enter to generate documents (recipes, emergency plans, resumes, travel itineraries, etc.).
  • Document titles and metadata — titles you assign to saved documents, and timestamps.
  • Subscription and billing information — when you subscribe to the Pro plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. We receive and store your Stripe customer ID, subscription ID, plan type, subscription status, and current billing period end date. We do not store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details — those are held exclusively by Stripe.

2.2 Automatically Collected Information

When you visit the Service, we may automatically collect:

  • Log data — IP address, browser type, pages visited, timestamps, and referring URLs.
  • Cookies and session tokens — we use a server-side session cookie to keep you signed in. No third-party advertising cookies are used.

2.3 Information We Do Not Collect

  • We do not store full payment card details. All payment processing is handled by Stripe; we only retain billing metadata (see §2.1).
  • We do not collect precise geolocation data.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide and operate the Service — generate AI content, render Print-Ready PDF Previews, and save your documents to the cloud.
  • Authenticate you — verify your identity via Firebase Authentication (Google Sign-In) and maintain your session.
  • Manage subscriptions — process payments via Stripe, enforce plan limits (5 generations/month for Free; unlimited for Pro), and track your monthly usage count.
  • Improve the Service — analyze aggregate usage patterns to understand how features are used.
  • Communicate with you — respond to support requests you initiate, and send transactional emails related to your subscription (e.g., payment receipts, renewal reminders, cancellation confirmations) via Stripe.

We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We do not use your document content to train AI models.

4. Client-Side Encryption

PrintReadyTool.com offers optional client-side AES-256-GCM encryption for your documents. When you enable encryption:

  • Your document is encrypted in your browser using the Web Crypto API before being sent to our servers.
  • The encryption key is derived from your password using PBKDF2 (100,000 iterations, SHA-256) and never leaves your device.
  • We store only the encrypted ciphertext. We cannot read, decrypt, or recover your data if you lose your password.
  • A password hint you provide is stored alongside the ciphertext. Choose a hint that does not reveal the password itself.

5. Document Sharing

Documents are private by default. If you choose to make a document public:

  • A short link (shortId) is generated and anyone with that link can view the document.
  • If the document is also encrypted, viewers must supply the correct password to see the content.
  • You can revoke public access at any time by toggling the document back to private.

6. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate the platform:

Service Purpose Privacy Policy
Google Firebase (Authentication & Firestore) Account authentication and document storage firebase.google.com/support/privacy
Google Gemini API AI content generation policies.google.com/privacy
Cloudflare R2 File and image storage for site documents cloudflare.com/privacypolicy
Stripe Payment processing and subscription management stripe.com/privacy

Your document inputs are sent to the Google Gemini API to generate content. Please do not include sensitive personal information (e.g. social security numbers, financial account numbers) in document inputs.

7. Subscriptions and Billing

PrintReadyTool.com offers a Free plan (5 AI generations per month) and a Pro plan (unlimited generations plus additional features). Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe.

  • When you initiate a checkout, you are redirected to a Stripe-hosted payment page. PrintReadyTool.com does not handle your raw card data.
  • We receive webhook events from Stripe to update your subscription status in our database (Firestore). Data synchronized from Stripe includes: subscription status (active, trialing, past_due, canceled), plan type, current billing period end date, and Stripe customer/subscription IDs.
  • You can manage, upgrade, downgrade, or cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal, which is also hosted by Stripe.
  • Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You retain Pro access until that date.
  • Refund requests are handled according to Stripe's policies and our Terms of Service.

8. Data Retention

  • Account data is retained for as long as your account is active.
  • Saved documents are retained until you delete them or close your account.
  • Encrypted documents cannot be recovered by us. Deletion is permanent.
  • You may delete individual documents at any time from the document list in the application.
  • Subscription and billing data (Stripe customer ID, subscription status, plan history) is retained for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward as required for financial record-keeping and dispute resolution. Payment records are also subject to Stripe's own retention policies.
  • Monthly usage counters (generation counts) are stored per calendar month and are not deleted when a month resets — historical records may be retained for abuse prevention and analytics.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information.
  • Delete your account and associated data.
  • Export your document data.

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at the email address below. We will respond within 30 days.

10. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

11. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • HTTPS for all data in transit.
  • Server-side session cookies with HttpOnly and Secure flags.
  • Client-side AES-256-GCM encryption (optional, user-initiated).
  • Access controls limiting who can read stored documents.

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
